If you are on regular treatment, a request for a repeat prescription can be made in the following ways:

• In person - bring your repeat prescription counterfoil to the surgery.
• By telephone - the telephone system has a dedicated prescription line open between 10:00am – 16:00pm.
• Online via Patient Access -  To register please present in person with photographic ID to reception.

 Please allow two full working days (48 hours) for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.

Acute Prescriptions

Prescriptions for acute conditions can be ordered daily preferably in the morning and will be left at the doctor’s discretion.

Acute prescriptions ordered after 2 pm may not be ready for collection until the following day.

Pharmacy First Scheme

All community pharmacies have a qualified pharmacist who is registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland. Pharmacists can give expert advice on medicines and many common conditions, without an appointment and sometimes outside usual hours. Before going to your GP,  it is worth speaking to your pharmacist. This can help you decide if you need to see the doctor.
